sometimes stop, somtimes go

(and some other useful info.)

things i have discovered since being in montreal:
1) there are no walk/don't walk signs at crosswalks. green means walk and red means don't walk (see point 2).
2) everyone crosses the street when the traffic light is red. therefore, in many cases red means walk when safe to do so. i still can't get use to it.
3) starbucks and sushi restaurants are at a minimum. i can count the number of starbucks i have seen on one hand. sushi is expensive. i have yet to discover a good sushi place.
4) -20 C is COLD! your nose and cheeks freeze within a few minutes. dressing warm and wearing long johns have a brought new meaning
5) st. viateur bagels. there are so fresh (you can see them being made and everything). plus, it's $2.80 for half a dozen.
6) cheap thrills record store. it's small and cute. they have new and used cds, records and books. it's my heaven.
